Mark Moreno is a trusted business leader and connector, passionate about building meaningful business relationships, with 30 years of expertise in global procurement and supplier development.
Currently, Mark leads overall operations of the Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, responsible for the Chamber’s management and administration, finance and accounting, business and membership development, programs and events, and corporate partnerships. Since accepting the role of Executive Director in January 2020, he has worked collaboratively with the board of directors, staff, members, and corporate and community partners across the state, bringing focused execution, a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement, as he and his team strive to advance the economic prosperity of Chamber members and the Hispanic business community in Michigan.
A graduate of Wittenberg University with a B.A. in Spanish, his career includes significant roles in the automotive, alternative energy, and defense industries. As an accomplished supply chain professional, he had a 22-year career with American Axle & Manufacturing, where he completed two expat assignments over six years in Guanajuato, Mexico, with executive roles in procurement, human resources, program management, and manufacturing. He also held key purchasing positions at Condumex, Inc. and General Dynamics, honing his supply chain skills across programs in Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Egypt. Mark has conducted business in over 25 countries.
Mark is the owner and president of M2 Integrating, LLC, a company he founded in 2019 to help entrepreneurs integrate the functional areas of their business. Most entrepreneurs are visionaries, dreamers having clear ideas or a powerful imagination for how they’d like their business to look in the future, or are creative and very technically savvy, but generally don’t have a clear perspective on how to bring all the pieces together to run a business. M2 Integrating offers solutions to meet their needs and then comes alongside to help implement them – uniting the major functions of a business or organization, creating focus, accountability, and alignment operationally.
Mark serves on the Board of Directors at United Way of Southeast Michigan. He resides in Clarkston, MI and enjoys celebrating the cultures and traditions of both his Mexican and Polish heritage with his wife Marcie, three adult children, and five grandchildren.
