About MHCC

The Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce promotes economic advancement, growth and sustainability for its members by enabling access to business opportunities and developmental resources through strategic initiatives.

The Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is the premier gateway to the state’s 20,000 Hispanic businesses and nearly 500,000 Latino consumers.  MHCC serves as an advocate for jobs and economic development by promoting participation in supplier diversity development programs and international trade with Mexico and other Latin American countries. Because MHCC maintains a unique status as home to automotive and other suppliers representing an array of industries with an international footprint, we offer a mix of programs and targeted business services, all aimed at growing member businesses.

MHCC’s membership reflects the diversity of Hispanic business enterprises in the state. Our member firms have consistently been ranked among the top Hispanic-owned firms both regionally and nationally. Members include Hispanic Business Enterprises (HBEs), original equipment manufacturers, tiered suppliers, publicly traded companies in the banking, energy, food processing and office supply industries, and a range of companies and organizations interested in doing business with the state’s growing base of Hispanic businesses and consumers.

Established in September of 1989, MHCC is a 501 (c)(6) nonprofit business association governed by a Board of Directors that represents the business diversity of its membership.

What Our Members Think About Us

Being a member of MHCC over the past 15 years has given me access to many great Hispanic business leaders and companies who built a strong foundation on quality and performance. We have learned much from those founders who started their companies in the early days of supplier diversity. Today MHCC and Hispanic owned businesses in the network are taking innovation, technology and outstanding products/services and operating as trusted and vital suppliers within Fortune 500 corporate supply chains. This adds tremendous value to the companies we serve as well as the community as a whole.

This year, I attending the MHCC Annual Golf Outing for the first time and – it was a great event and very well attended by many high level corporate executives. What a great outing to network and connect with other business owners and talk business in a fun and casual environment. Eco Plastics became a member of the MHCC this year and becoming a member of the Chamber has helped our business grow in many ways.

I find the MHCC a valuable resource for business in Michigan. It helps me connect with other Hispanic companies through the Hispanic Business Directory and network face-to-face with Fortune 500 executives on a regular basis at Chamber events. The MHCC’s Executive Director, Camilo Suero, the Chamber staff are exceptional and very value added to me and my business

I am a regular participant at many MHCC events and I find them educational, entertaining and very value added to me personally and it gives the firm visibility and notoriety to other companies that I may not otherwise be associated with in the business community. Attending the Chamber events it gives me a level of access and opportunities to connect with other promenade organizations in our diverse community in metro Detroit. The MHCC Executive Director, Camilo Suero and his staff are great and I look forward to continuing my relationship with the Chamber for many years.
